An Apple ID is used to get iTunes downloads, apps and many other items. In case you own iPod Touch or iPhone, you must need an Apple ID. A wide range of items is available on App store which should be used.
You might have faced certain problems with the Apple ID while purchasing certain apps. It may happen that the app you like is not available in your country. In such a case, you can create aniTunes account for the country in which the app is available. You do not require any credit card. This makes the items accessible from another country.
However, the Apple ID can be changed. You can do it by switching to a different ID or changing the current one.
Change the ID On Your Own Device
This can apply to your iPad too. The first step is to verify your account that is used for App Store and iTunes purchases. Open App Store or iTunes in the iPod. When you open the page, go to its bottom. In case you are on the product page of App Store, go to the main screen. You can also tap on Top 25 or Categories. When you tap on Top 25, you will see Top Grossing, Top Free and Top Paid apps. You must have created an Apple ID while purchasing a free or paid app.
In case the Apple ID has already been created, you can see at the bottom of App Store or iTunes.
Once you have opened the account, search for ‘Home’ button. Press it. Launch ‘Settings’. Scroll down and search for ‘Store’. Tap it.
It will give you two choices: ‘View Apple ID’ & ‘Sign Out’.
Hit ‘View Apple ID‘. The payment details related to your account will be displayed such as phone number, billing address and credit card details. It will also display the country name from where you are buying the items. In case you want to change the information about your region or country, follow the instructions given on screen. You need to accept certain terms and conditions. You can also change the billing details.
The Apple ID email can also be changed by tapping the existing Apple ID. This will display your email and password with some security questions.
In case you want to switch over to another Apple ID, you only need to tap ‘Sign Out’ button.
You will be asked to log in when you purchase the iTunes or App Store items.
Change The ID On iTunes Desktop
If you are using your computer, iTunes can be launched on the desktop to change the Apple ID billing details, email ID and password. Go to ‘Store’ and click on ‘View My Account’.
You are required to submit your password details for verification. Apple will give you all the detailsrelated to your account. You can edit this information easily.
