Multibar — An Eyecatching & Multifunctional Application Dock [Windows]

Multibar, a smart and stylish application dock for Windows, is especially designed for getting a faster access to your tools, folders and files.

It supports quick launch commands and hotkeys for an immediate access. An additional advantage is that it removes the clutter from your desktop.

Install Multibar. When you launch it, it will index your folders and files. It is important to take this step in case you wish to access its instant search feature. In the following image, Multibar has only indexed the C drive.

You only need to touch the Window key to open Multibar. On clicking this key, you will be taken to the instant search field. Check out the image below. It is highlighted with a red arrow. The quick launch commands are displayed in the image. Type a folder or program you wish to open. You can move to instant search window by clicking the ‘Tab’ key.

Place the cursor on an application icon. The files which are used recently will be displayed. You must ensure that this feature has not been disabled. Place the cursor on a folder. Its content will be displayed.

Multibar can be opened manually with the mouse. There is a pull-down label at the top of the screen. Click on it. This is shown in the screenshot below.

You can access the settings of Multibar by using tools icon. Go to left corner of the top of the screen. Click on ‘Tools’.

In case you do not want to use Windows key to open Multibar, you have the option to disable this key. You can access more hotkeys and these can be modified through a respective tab.

The appearance of Multibar can be customized by using the settings. You can choose its location on the screen, change the background and re size the icons. You can also choose the icon you want to show.

Multibar gives you a wide variety of 11 separate skins. You can access these through Themes tab.

Multibar comprises of various tools such as games, weather forecast, friend meter etc. You can find more addons on the homepage of Ticno.

Another unique default add-on is a weather forecast tool. This tool finds out your location from your IP address. Place your cursor on the tool icon and a forecast for next five days will be displayed.

Multibar can be used on Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.
