Use Announcify To Read Webpages [Chrome]

How to Use Announcify

Announcify is very easy to use. To start with, open an article which you want Announcify to read.

Go to the right side of the screen at the top. Click on the red icon. A new tab will be opened. The story will begin to load. Announcify will prepare the robotic voice to read the article.

When the loading is complete, the robot will start reading the title followed by the entire story. A uniquefeature of the extension is that it blurs the area which the robot is not reading. Therefore, you can focus on the lines being read by the robot.

Though you can understand the robot voice easily but it does not give a natural feel. Another best aspect of the extension is that the speaking style of the robot can be customized as per your choice.

Settings

You have the option to control the speed and pitch of the robot reading the article. To do so, right-click on extension icon. Click on ‘Options’. You can choose an option to make the robot talk faster or slower.  You can also change the voice pitch.

The pitch is set at 1.00 by default. If you increase the pitch to 1.75, it gives better results. You can change it by modifying the settings.

The volume of your robot voice can also be adjusted. You can increase or decrease the volume. There is a ‘Speak’ button. Click on it to listen how the article sounds when the robot will read it.
